Nearly two years ago an ambitious project was undertaken by the Salem High School Machine Trades Program to find a way to purchase modern CNC machines for the school's antiquated metal shop.

With one successful season down and another underway the teacher Matt Peters and his team have proven that this competition rig that was truly built by high school students could not only be competitive but manage to land a 3rd place finish over all in the Uroc Pro-Atlantic Division Stock Class in 2006.
